Which movie genre is your favourite, and why? I’m looking for an overall generic answer, not “it depends on my mood”.
I believe action movies are the best. The reason I usually watch movies is because I want to clear my head and not think, but my sense of humour doesn’t allow me to do that with comedies. There’s something about violence, explosions and chases that I find very relaxing and fun to watch. That’s probably why I like superhero movies better than martial art ones. They’re not as scary or suspenseful as horrors, which I hate. Action movies also usually have a touch of romance or comedy in them, so it’s a great compromise.
That said, I do enjoy sophisticated dramas when I’m depressed and need a powerful, thought-provoking thing to watch.
