It’s a tie between “The Skeleton Key” with Kate Hudson and M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Village.”
I mean there are a ton of bad movies, but I went to see these on the day they opened, waiting in a line and paid $8 so the taste of their rottenness is worse.

Castaway. I decided with (apparently) about 30 mins left that I had wasted enough of my time and went shopping. At least that’s what my partner said (“you should have stayed… it was almost over anyways” – I just wasn’t willing to risk it) – yes, I left him watching the movie. No, we aren’t still together. His taste in movies was just too bad ;-)

@hcraig. I too left the theatre during castaway. We got there late and it happened to be a pretty raved about movie at the time so it was packed. We ended up sitting with our necks cranked in the front row. That plus being a little seasick from the motion and lack of anything too exciting put me over the edge.

I believe that all movies are a waste of time when you look back at in the end. The time could have been used to do numerous tasks or activities. How could one movie not be a “waste” but another is? I don’t think you can have it both ways. What does one honestly get out of a movie? A laugh, a tear, some suspense, or drama? I don’t buy it. I do encourage others to step back and realize what the cinema really is…

oh you have not seen bad movies then. Prospero’s Books has got to be the worst movie I have ever scene (oh come on that’s a great typo) Oddly it got 4 stars. and a 67% rating on rotten tomatoes. However if you ever find yourself with 126 minutes of time you would rather you never had take a peek at John Gielgud and Isabelle Pasco. My favourite review quote from it is this
“Gielgud’s voice has the ability to put you right to sleep with its bass and monotone timbre. The good news is that when you wake up, you won’t have missed a thing.”
